Our owner, Vose, has spent his entire life hunting in Scott Valley's Marble Mountain Wilderness area and sharing his passion with others. With his extensive knowledge of the area and its history, he is able to offer a truly unique hunting experience that goes beyond just the thrill of the hunt.

The Flying O brand has a rich history rooted in the traditions of the Hayden family, who have been bringing cattle into the wilderness for over 100 years. The Flying O brand belonged to Vose's grandpa, Frank Hayden, and is a tribute to him and the old ways that are often forgotten in these modern times. Our family's experience in working with the land and wildlife has been passed down from generation to generation, and we take pride in providing our clients with an authentic hunting experience.

Jamie Hayden is a multi-talented individual who has built a fulfilling life with her partner, Vose, since 2010. With a passion for resourcefulness, Jamie excels in processing animals to their full potential, whether it's through canning, creating cottage-style products, or tanning hides from harvested animals. In addition to these skills, Jamie is a dedicated wedding videographer who cherishes moments of love and celebration. A lover of nature and horses, Jamie finds joy in spending time outdoors and participating in equestrian activities. Her commitment to homeschooling reflects her dedication to nurturing her family and providing a well-rounded education for her children.
